Amberlight Guidance is built around a few plain rules we hold ourselves to. This page sets them out in one place, so you know what to expect before you ever start a session.
Rule one: name the history, don’t hide it
This domain used to sell guaranteed love spells and reunion rituals over the phone, with a price list for each one. We don’t think it’s honest to quietly rebuild on top of that and hope nobody asks. We’d rather say plainly what used to be sold here and why we stopped you can read the longer version on our why we don’t sell spells page. Everything else on this site follows from that one decision.
Rule two: reflection, never control
Every reading we offer is framed around your own next decision, never around changing what someone else feels or does. If a question arrives as “will they come back,” we’ll ask you to reframe it as something answerable “what do I want to do next, regardless of what they decide.” That reframing isn’t a dodge. It’s the actual, honest scope of what a reading can do.
Rule three: no guarantees, stated in advance
We won’t promise a reunion, a timeline, a change of heart, or an outcome of any kind involving another person’s choices. We also won’t promise that following a reading will “manifest” a particular result. What we will say is that a clear-headed hour spent on a real question tends to leave people better equipped to make their next decision that’s a modest claim, and it’s the only one we’re willing to stand behind.
Rule four: plain language over mystique
We try to explain every card in ordinary words before we mention its symbolism. “This card usually shows up when someone is waiting on a decision that isn’t actually theirs to make” is more useful to you than a paragraph about ancient esoteric meaning, even if the second version sounds more impressive. We’d rather be clear than mysterious.
Rule five: nothing invented
We don’t publish fabricated credentials, decades-long histories, client counts, or star ratings. We don’t use testimonials attributed to real named people, because we have no way to verify them and don’t think manufactured trust is worth the shortcut. If you want to know exactly what we do and don’t claim, our FAQ spells it out question by question.
Rule six: say when a question is out of scope
Not every relationship question belongs in a reflection reading, and we’d rather turn a question away than force a spread onto it. Legal questions about a divorce or custody arrangement belong with a lawyer. Financial questions about jointly owned property belong with an accountant or mediator. Anything involving danger, coercion, or abuse belongs with a professional trained for that, not a tarot spread. We try to notice early when a question is really one of these in disguise, and say so rather than pretending a reading can cover it.
How this page fits with the rest of the site
We didn’t want to write a single “about us” page that tries to do everything, because the more a page tries to cover, the easier it is to bury the one uncomfortable fact this domain’s history under enthusiasm about the new version. So the site is split deliberately: this page states our rules, our why we don’t sell spells page tells the fuller story of what used to be here and why it stopped, and our reflection reading page walks through what an actual session looks like, step by step. Reading all three gives you the complete picture; reading any one of them should already tell you enough to decide whether this is the right fit.
How a typical relationship shows up here
Most people arrive at one of a small number of situations: a recent breakup they’re not ready to accept, a partner who’s gone quiet without explanation, a slow-fading relationship they can’t tell is actually over, or a new interest they’re trying not to read too much into. In every one of those, the honest work is the same separating what you actually know from what you’re hoping, and deciding what you want to do about the part that’s genuinely yours to decide.
We built our reflection reading around that structure specifically. It isn’t tailored to any one kind of heartbreak; it’s tailored to the general shape of “I’m stuck between hope and evidence and need a clearer way to think about it.”
What we ask of you
We ask you to bring a real, specific question rather than a vague feeling, because specificity is what makes a reading useful rather than just comforting. We ask you to treat the reading as a prompt for your own thinking, not as an oracle with the final word. And we ask you to reach out to a qualified professional, not to us, if what you’re dealing with involves safety concerns, abuse, or a mental health crisis we’re built for relationship reflection, not for those situations, and pretending otherwise would be its own kind of dishonesty.
Why a small, honest claim beats a big, false one
It would be easy to write a more exciting version of this page one with a founding story, a “master reader,” a bold promise about outcomes. We chose not to, on purpose. The whole reason this site exists is that the previous version of this domain made big promises it couldn’t keep, aimed at people who were hurting and least equipped to question them. We’d rather be the smaller, plainer alternative to that than repeat it with better branding.
If that approach sounds right for what you need, you’re welcome to start with a free session, or read through our FAQ first if you’d rather understand exactly what to expect before you begin.
A closing note on the domain itself
We know some visitors will land here specifically because they remember, or found archived, what this address used to advertise the phone number, the price list, the promise of a spell to bring someone back. If that’s you, we’d rather you read this page and leave clear-eyed than leave disappointed that we didn’t sell you what the old site did. We think the honest version of this address is a better use of the address than the old one was, even though it will never be able to promise what that version promised. That’s the trade we’ve deliberately made, and we stand behind it.
